I’m an open book. I love sharing my story because I’ve found that my wife and I are not the only ones who have had these struggles in life and if we can empower and motivate you to make the same changes we made, it will change your life too.
I started my health journey in 2014. My wife and I lost 160 pounds combined through making changes in our lifestyle and improving our nutrition.
After having our first child, we found ourselves eating unhealthy and going to fast foods restaurants daily because it was easy and being new parents there was a lot happening in our lives. Food, especially sweets, became an addiction.
When our second child was born, we were already heavily overweight and our health was declining even more. My wife has Crohn’s disease and I was on a CPAP machine and had high blood pressure. We had low self esteem and confidence in ourselves because of our appearance and mobility.
I believe there is a point in everyones life where we say enough is enough and make the decision to take back our lives not only for ourselves but for our children as well. We model what our children become. And i didn't want my children to go through the same issues my wife and i had. We must develop good habits and teach our children a healthier way of living.
Losing the weight was great. We were able to do so much more than we ever could. We felt better about ourselves and our confidence grew. There was something missing though. As we lost the weight we noticed that we were becoming “skinny fat”. This is where you lose weight but have saggy or loose skin with little muscle definition. So we began fitness training. Our goal wasn't to become huge and bulky with muscle. We just wanted to look more defined, tone, and stronger.
My wife and I became health coaches in 2016 because we wanted to unlock the potential in others who have had similar life experiences. We wanted to share the success we had and help others feel better about themselves as well. Since then we have helped hundreds of people take back their lives and live a healthier, more productive life. And we would love to get you back on track as well.
